Residentís permits

All German nationals are required to carry an identity card. As many other countries do not issue identity cards, the residentís permit is for non-German nationals, an identity card substitute document. All non-German nationals must be in possession of a valid resident's permit. In the case of all citizens of each of the European Community member states, the immigration authorities cannot ordinarily refuse a residentís permit. For all other non-German nationals, special rules apply.

The Relocation Consultant will apply to the immigration authorities on behalf of the transferee to ensure that the residentís permit is applied for in good time and ready for collection as soon as possible.
